65-Year-Old Gregory Torrance Killed In Madison, TN Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on July 21 in Madison, Tennessee. 65-year-old Gregory Torrance lost his life when his wheelchair was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Myatt Drive near the intersection with Roosevelt Avenue. The driver did not remain at the scene but, instead, stopped at a nearby gas station to inspect the damage, police said. He then drove off. They found the suspect, Sterling L. Jenkins at his home where he admitted to being the driver, police said. Jenkins was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving death, failure to render aid, failure to file an accident report, and failure to have insurance. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
