65-Year-Old Johnney Mangum Killed In Farwell, TX AccidentThe accident remains under investigationPosted: 4 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Wednesday, March 17th at around 10 p.m. in Farwell, Texas. 65-year-old Johnney Thomas Mangum died on Wednesday night when the vehicle that he was traveling in crashed along U.S. Highway 70. 37-year-old Daniel Curtis McDonald was operating a Freightliner truck towing a utility bulk trailer, when it crossed the median and went into a ditch. The truck then struck several delineators, a tree, and a wire fence. Sadly, Mr. Mangum was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Curtis was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries. The accident remains under investigation by the Department of Public Safety.
