Pedestrian struck on Freedom Drive between Ashley Road and Alleghany Street

Tragic accident that occurred on September 28 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  65-year-old Thermon Beaufort was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking across Freedom Drive between Ashley Road and Alleghany Street. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Toyota driver, a 68-year-old man, was not injured and remained at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
