66-Year-Old Eddie Jackson Injured In Smith, TX Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on August 30 in Smith, Texas. 66-year-old Eddie Jackson was injured in a multiple-vehicle crash when a Honda Civic, driven by a 94-year-old Tyler man entered the path of a southbound Ford Explorer, causing a collision. The collision sent the Ford into a Peterbilt tractor-trailer. The vehicle then collided with a northbound Chevrolet Suburban on the highway. Jackson, the Ford driver, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. DPS continues to investigate the crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
