66-Year-Old Taunya Norris Killed In Tabor City, NC Accident

Fatal collision along US Route 701

Tragic accident that occurred on May 11th in Tabor City, North Carolina.  66-year-old Taunya Norris was one of multiple victims in a two-vehicle head-on accident along the U.S. Route 701. Ms. Norris was a passenger in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck northbound when a Hyundai SUV driven by an unidentified 18-year-old man traveled across the centerline and struck the Hyundai head-on. Taunya Norris was transported by helicopter to Grand Strand Medical Center where she succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.  The 18-year-old was issued a citation for driving left of center.
