The fatal crash took place around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Leon Road and Domenigoni Parkway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Sallman was riding a Yamaha V-Star eastbound on Domenigoni Parkway when a John Deere tractor, engaged in construction work, crossed from north to south on Leon Road. For reasons yet to be determined, Sallman's motorcycle struck the tractor, throwing him from the bike. Tragically, Sallman died at the scene from his injuries. Authorities have not confirmed which vehicle had the right of way. The investigation remains ongoing.
