Ms. Phillips was a passenger in a Ford Focus that collided with 31-year-old Erika Cardona operating a Dodge Durango. Witnesses reported that the Dodge crossed the centerline and struck the Honda Civic before colliding with a Focus. Tragically, Ms. Phillips passed away while being transported to a local hospital. The crash remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division.
