71-Year-Old Debra Waterland Injured In Saint Clair, IL AccidentCrash remains under investigation Posted: 4 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Wednesday, January 13 in Saint Clair, Illinois. 71-year-old Debra Waterland was identified as one of two victims sadly injured in a head on collision approximately half a mile south of Illinois route 156. The 74-year-old driver of a Buick ran off the road to the right, over corrected and crossed over the centerline, colliding head-on with a Kia Forte. The driver of the Buick was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Waterland who was a passenger in the Buick, was flown to a regional hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 41-year-old driver of the Kia was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The state police continue to investigate the crash.
