73-Year-Old Larry Koepke Killed In Long Beach, CA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Monday, December 27th in Long Beach, California. 73-year-old Larry Koepke was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street at the intersection of Los Coyotes Diagonal and Carson Street. The victims were walking southbound across Carson Street in a marked crosswalk when a 2020 Hyundai Sonata truck them, police said. Responding officers discovered both the victim, and his relative, unconscious and suffering from major injuries. Koepke was later pronounced dead at a hospital, detectives said. The driver of the Hyundai, a 75-year-old Long Beach resident, stopped at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
