74-Year-Old Kenneth Wertenberger Injured In Wapato, WA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, July 29 at around 2 PM in Wapato, Washington. 74-year-old Kenneth Wertenberger was seriously injured when his vehicle was struck head on by another driver in the 3900 block of Yakima Valley Highway. 49-year-old Jose Nunez veered into the eastbound lane striking the victims SUV with his Hyundai Sonata. The victim was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment of two broken legs and a broken pelvis. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
