74-Year-Old Linda Wertenberger Injured In Wapato, WA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, July 29 at around 2PM in Wapato, Washington. 74-year-old Linda Wertenberger was seriously injured when her vehicle was struck head on by another driver in the 3900 block of Yakima Valley Highway. 49-year-old Jose Nunez veered into the eastbound lane striking the victims SUV with his Hyundai Sonata. The victim was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment of a broken arm and some minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
