Barrs died after being struck three times on US 178. Barrs was hit by an unidentified car, followed by another motorist, both of which fled the scene. A 2009 Chevrolet sedan then hit Barrs for the third time. Barrs sadly passed away at the scene. South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the wreck.
