80-Year-Old John Moreau Killed In Wapato, WA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Monday, January 10th in Wapato, Washington. 80-year-old John J. Moreau was tragically killed when he was struck by a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 97. Moreau’s Chevrolet pickup truck broke down on the side of northbound 97 and he was standing outside of it when he and the truck were struck by a northbound 2018 Kenworth tractor pulling a trailer. Sadly, Moreau was pronounced dead at the scene. The WSP is investigating the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
