Authorities said the incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. on Dyer Street near Cabello Drive. Simangan was initially struck by a vehicle, the driver stopped to help her. Moments later, both were hit by another vehicle. Simangan died at the scene, while the first driver was taken to the hospital with injuries. The second motorist remained on site. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
