Andres Sorto died when he was struck by an alleged teenage drunken driver fleeing from police on the North Freeway after street racing in a stolen vehicle. The teen was driving in excess of 100 mph when he exited the freeway onto surface streets. The suspect ran a red traffic light at Farm-to-Market 1960 and the frontage road and struck a motorcycle driven by 19-year-old Andres. The motorcycle was destroyed and Sorto was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect is facing murder and other felony charges.
