A motorcycle and car collision claimed the lives of the motorcyclist and a car passenger, while the driver was injured. Austin Patrick Fett, a 28-year-old Lakewood resident, was riding his 2025 Yamaha YZF-R1 northbound on Woodruff Avenue when he collided with a 2006 Toyota Highlander making a left turn onto eastbound Wardlow Road. Sadly, both Fett and the car’s passenger lost their lives, while the driver was hospitalized with injuries. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
