Bernarda Fernandez Killed In Huntington Station, NY Accident

Pedestrian struck on Jericho Turnpike

Tragic accident that occurred on March 4 in Huntington Station, New York. 49-year-old Bernarda Fernandez lost her life when she was struck by a hit-and-run motorist while walking across Jericho Turnpike at Oakwood Road. Fernandez was rushed to Huntington Hospital where she sadly succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the incident and say they suspect the vehicle involved is a small to mid-size SUV. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
