Carlos Villalta died in a single-vehicle wreck along the 2200 block of Rowlett Road. According to preliminary findings, a pickup truck carrying three people was traveling east when the driver lost control for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to hit a guardrail, police said. One of the deceased victims was Carlos. The Garland Police Department traffic unit says an investigation is underway.
