Colten McMullen Arrested In Polk, FL Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on April 1 in Polk, Florida. Colten McMullen was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a bicycle rider on U.S. Route 92. McMullen struck another vehicle from behind and then hit a 37-year-old male bicycle rider, deputies said. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. McMullen's truck became disabled a couple of miles from the collision and deputies caught up with him. He displayed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of a crash causing property damage and leaving the scene of a crash involving death. McMullen was booked into the Polk County Jail. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
