Tragic accident that occurred on January 22 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. David Smith lost his life in a collision with an alleged intoxicated driver at Austin Bluffs Parkway and Meadow Lane, when 28-year-old Robert David Pearson ran a red light and collided with another vehicle. The other driver, identified as 66-year-old David Smith, was pronounced dead at the scene. Pearson was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide while driving under the influence and was booked into the El Paso County Jail. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
