Tragic accident that occurred on September 5 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Douglas Clinton Avery was arrested on multiple charges after a hit-and-run crash that injured a motorcycle driver at S. Kerr Avenue and Randall Parkway. 24-year-old Douglas Clinton Avery was charged with hit/run serious injury or death; possession of drug paraphernalia; hit/run fail stop/leave scene/property damage; reckless driving to endanger and driving while license revoked not impaired. The crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
