Eduardo Romero Flores was killed after being hit by an 18-wheeler while getting off a school bus along U.S. Highway 59. The driver of a tractor-trailer crashed into a passenger vehicle, which subsequently struck a 15-year-old boy who was getting off the bus. The boy, identified by family members as Eduardo Romero Flores, was killed in the crash. He was a 15-year-old freshman. Investigators said the semi-driver faces a felony charge of criminally negligent homicide. He was booked into the Polk County Jail. Authorities are investigating the tragic accident.
