Erica Lopez Injured In Placentia, CA Accident

Collision on Orangethorpe Ave and S. Melrose Street

Tragic accident that occurred on January 25 in Placentia, California.  Erica Lopez was hospitalized, and her daughter and husband killed, in an accident near Orangethorpe Avenue and South Melrose Street. The Placentia Police Department says they were occupants in a church van struck by a Honda Civic driven by a 24-year-old Santa Ana man. Authorities say the man ran a red light and crashed into the van. Police took the man into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. Erica Lopez, was hospitalized with unspecified injuries. She is 7 months pregnant.  A family member said the victims were returning from a bible study. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
