Florence Thomas was badly injured in a chain-reaction collision involving four vehicles on Route HH. According to a report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Kathi M. Lee was attempting to make a right turn in a 2020 Jeep Gladiator when a 2004 Dodge Ram driven by 20-year-old Elijah R. House hit the back of a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by 20-year-old Kyle L. Florer. The Altima then crossed the centerline and crashed into a westbound 2006 Honda Ridgeline that Thomas was traveling in. The Honda then ran off the roadway and overturned. The Ram truck went on to strike the Jeep Gladiator, which crashed into a stop sign. Thomas, who suffered serious injuries in the collision, was taken to Freeman Hospital West.
