Four Dead And Many Injured In US Capitol Riot

This is breaking news desk and I’m Stephanie Taylor we have Breaking news that four are dead, 52 arrested, and 14 police officers injured after a riot broke out at the US capital. Protesters breached the capitol building as thousands gathered at the national mall to protest the results of the 2020 election. DC police chief Robert Contee was sad to report that the day included four fatalities, a woman who was shot by US capital police, as well as three others. He also stated that Police had made “an excess of 52 arrests.” at least 14 metropolitan police department officers were injured during the demonstrations Contee reported. Two pipe bombs one from the DNC and one from the are in RNC were also recovered in the wake of the violence. The Mayor of DC announced a 6 PM Eastern standard time curfew as well as a 15 day extension of the public emergency she had declared earlier in the day.
