Two 70-year-old women sustained serious injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the 2400 block of the Roxburgh subdivision. The vehicle driver, later identified as Gerardo Ordaz, fled the scene after the collision.The two women were transported to a local hospital, where they remain in critical condition. The teenage driver was later located and arrested with the help of evidence at the scene and license plate readers in the area. He was charged with two hit-and-run as well as two counts of serious injury by vehicle, driver failure to exercise due care, and driving while unlicensed.
