James Wetzel Injured In Grand Prairie Township, OH Accident

Motorcycle accident at Route 23-Linn Hipsher Road Intersection

Tragic accident that occurred on August 5 in Grand Prairie Township, Ohio. 79-year-old James Wetzel was seriously hurt in a crash involving a Harley Davidson and a Freightliner semi at the Route 23-Linn Hipsher Road intersection. Wetzel was riding a Harley Davidson when he slowed to turn right and a freightliner Cascadia swerved right and went into the paved berm, hitting the motorcycle. Wetzel was transported to OhioHealth Marion General Hospital and later transferred via helicopter to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus with unspecified injuries.
