Tragic accident that occurred on September 17 in Evanston, Illinois. An 18-year-old Northwestern University student was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on Sheridan Road. A Jeep Compass driven by Javier Castaneda-Vargas, who admitted that he struck the victim and failed to stop to render aid.  Castaneda-Vargas was charged with failure to report an accident with serious injuries. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
