Jesus Espinal Jr. was seriously injured after his car was struck by a stolen ambulance. According to police, 25-year-old Adam C. Cole allegedly stole the ambulance after falsely reporting a second emergency. A deputy spotted the ambulance and attempted to stop it, but Cole fled, leading law enforcement on a multi-county pursuit. The chase ended when Cole struck Espinal’s Nissan 300Z at the intersection of Eastern and Brandywine Avenues. Espinal was taken to Albany Medical Center in critical condition.
