John Redick was tragically killed after being struck by a drunk driver at Airport Boulevard and College Parkway. 74-year-old A.O. Godwin, a former Pensacola Police Department Lieutenant, hopped a curb and struck the victim. In reports, Godwin was described as being lethargic, slow in movement, droopy eyelids, and appeared unstable on his feet. Godwin was arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter after authorities found four white pills and two fragments they believe to be acetaminophen and oxycodone hydrochloride.
