8-year-old killed on Dakota Trail

Tragic accident that occurred on August 22 in Prior Lake, Minnesota. An 8-year-old girl riding her bicycle was tragically killed in an accident caused by a distracted driver at the intersection of Dakota Trail and Orion Road. Joseph Jacobson was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide and booked into the Scott County jail. The girl was rushed to St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, where she sadly passed away. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
