Joshua Barreras Killed In Yucca Valley, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on January 26 in Yucca Valley, California. Joshua Barreras lost his life after apparently being struck by a hit-and-run driver along Twentynine Palms Highway. 17-year-old Joshua was a Black Rock High School student. The driver had left the scene before deputies arrived. After life-saving attempts, Joshua was transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The Morongo Basin Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the incident and asking witnesses to contact them. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
