Kathy Angle Injured In Newton, IL Accident

School bus crash on Illinois 130

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, May 7 at around 7:18 AM in Newton, lllinois. Kathy Angle was seriously injured when the school bus that she was operating was rear ended by a truck while attempting a right turn from Illinois 130 to County Road 330 N. The empty school bus was struck by an international straight truck driven by 62-year-old Roger Health. Due to the impact, the bus traveled off the road and overturned. Angle was life flighted to a regional hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The Illinois State Police cited Health for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
