Pedestrian and horse struck near Thompson Rd.

Tragic accident that occurred on June 13th in Brainerd, Minnesota. Katie Marie Yaunick and her horse were tragically killed while walking her horse on the shoulder near Thompson Road and County Road 144 South. She and the animal were struck by an eastbound pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old Brainerd man.  She was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim
