Kendall Hawkins was charged with DUI in a crash on Savannah Highway that claimed the life of a passenger. Hawkins was driving a construction vehicle while pulling a trailer north on Savannah Highway when he made an illegal U-turn on the highway, turning in front of another construction vehicle and causing the crash. One of the three passengers ejected from the trailer passed away later at a hospital. The victim's name hasn't been released. Hawkins was charged with two counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury or death.
