Keyana Mccray Arrested In Valley Stream, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on September 24 in Valley Stream, New York. Keyana Mccray was arrested on multiple charges after a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Merrick Road and Rockaway Avenue. Investigators with the department determined that 33-year-old Keyana Mccray was driving a 2020 BMW west on Merrick when her vehicle collided head-on with a 2020 Chevrolet driven by a 51-year-old woman. The Chevrolet driver, whose identity was not disclosed by police, suffered serious internal injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Mccray was determined to be under the influence, police said. She and a 43-year-old male passenger were transported to area hospitals with unspecified non-life-threatening injuries. Mccray is facing charges that include DWI, assault, and vehicular assault. Nassau County Police continue to investigate the incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim
