Lisa Jo Rawlings Killed In Weslaco, TX Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on May 5 in Weslaco, Texas. Lisa Jo Rawlings was one of two people who lost their lives when their vehicle was hit by a pickup truck along Interstate 2. A vehicle was stalled in the 600 block with its emergency flashers activated when a second and third vehicle braked as they approached the stopped vehicle. The driver of a white Ford Focus swerved into the center lane to avoid the vehicles ahead and was struck by a maroon Dodge Ram pickup truck in that lane. A passenger in the Ford – 30-year-old Lisa Jo Rawlings – was airlifted to an area hospital. She later succumbed to injuries. The accident remains under investigation by the Weslaco Police Department.
