Lourdes Sulfa Sanchez, tragically was killed after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Merrick Road. Sanchez was crossing the road from the north to the south side when she was hit by an eastbound 2008 Volkswagen. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
