Malik Pearson Killed In Avon Park, FL Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on May 15 in Avon Park, Florida. Malik Pearson lost his life after being hit by an Amtrak train at W. Bell Street and S. Feagin Avenue. “There are no words that can capture how devastating this is to our community and schools," Sheriff Paul Blackman and Superintendent Brenda Longshore said in a statement. The sheriff's office is investigating to determine how the tragic incident occurred. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
