Mario Romero Injured In Medford, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, September 26 at around 12:45 AM in Medford, New York. Mario Romero was seriously injured when the vehicle he was a passenger in ran a red light at the intersection of Granny Road and N. Ocean Ave. 39-year-old Victor Lopez was operating a Mini Cooper when he ran a red light and struck a Lexus driven by 62-year-old Graca Fernandez. The mini then struck a Ford Fusion. Mr. Romero, a passenger in the mini, was rushed to Stony Brook University hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Victor was charged with driving while intoxicated. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
