Martin Salazar Arrested In San Jose, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on February 12 in San Jose, California. Martin Ramirez Salazar was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that claimed a life on Interstate 680. Salazar was driving at a high rate of speed when his vehicle slammed into the rear of a Ford Focus, which caused the Ford to crash into a concrete barrier. Salazar fled from the scene on foot. The Ford driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Salazar was found by officers in Fremont, where he was arrested and taken into custody. Officers believe that alcohol also played a role in the accident. CHP continues to investigate. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
