Marvin Chastain Charged In Durham, NC Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on December 18 in Durham, North Carolina. Marvin Chastain was charged after he struck and seriously injured a pedestrian along North Carolina Highway 55. Chastain neglected to stop at a red light and crashed into a 2018 Hyundai Ionic. While the crash was unfolding, a pedestrian standing in the median was struck by the Ford. The victim was badly hurt and taken to an area hospital for treatment. Investigators charged Chastain with failure to stop at a red light and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
