Matthew Christian Injured In Knoxville, TN Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on March 29 in Knoxville, Tennessee. A 20-year-old woman on a moped was seriously injured after being rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver at the intersection of Middlebrook Pike and Amherst Road. Matthew Christian was behind the wheel of a gray Dodge Charger when he rear-ended a Vespa moped, causing the rider, a 20-year-old woman, to flip over the top. Christian reportedly did not stop at the scene. Medics transported the female moped rider to the UT Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. After a thorough investigation, officers tracked down 49-year-old Christian, who has a prior DUI conviction from May 2021. He was subsequently taken into custody. This is an ongoing investigation.
