Tragic accident that occurred on January 22 in Charlotte, Florida. Two people were injured when their vehicle was struck by an alleged impaired driver who fled the scene of Peachland Boulevard. Mcauly P. Canavan allegedly entered the westbound lane, striking another vehicle. Two people in that vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Canavan fled the scene by foot after the crash but was apprehended by authorities. Canavan was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, driving under the influence, drug possession, and driving on a suspended license. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
