A suspected drunk driver, 20-year-old Melissa Rosales of Los Banos, crashed her BMW SUV into a Honda Accord, killing its 41-year-old driver and a juvenile passenger. The accident occurred early Saturday on State Highway 165, south of Turner Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Rosales failed to navigate a curve, crossed the solid double yellow lines into oncoming traffic, and collided head-on with the Honda. Both victims died at the scene. Their identities were not immediately released. Rosales sustained major injuries and was arrested for felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
