Michael S. Sexton suffered severe injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 67 at Commonwealth Drive. A 2008 Honda Civic was traveling southbound when its driver attempted to pass a 2013 Dodge Dart. The Honda then struck the side of the Dodge, causing the Honda to go airborne. Sexton, a passenger in the Honda, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis with serious injuries. The Honda driver was also seriously injured. The Dodge driver was not injured in the incident.
