Hit and run accident along Hempstead Turnpike

Tragic accident that occurred on October 13 in Elmont, New York. Patricio Rodriguez–Hayes died after he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist while walking along Hempstead Turnpike. Rodriguez–Hayes was severely injured and tragically passed away at a local hospital. The driver involved fled the scene and remains at large.  Additional details, including the make of the vehicle, were not immediately available.
