Rey Mendez Killed In El Paso, TX Accident

DUI accident on Zaragoza Road

Tragic accident that occurred on June 9 in El Paso, Texas. Rey Mendez was killed in a high-speed collision involving an alleged impaired motorist in the 700 block of South Zaragoza Road. The wreck occurred when the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle and slammed into a metal pole. Rey was rushed to a local hospital where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. The 36-year-old man driving was arrested for suspicion of intoxicated manslaughter and taken to El Paso County Jail. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
