Tragic accident that occurred on December 5 in Bessemer, Alabama. Rickey Dawayne Collins died two weeks after being hit by a vehicle on 9th Avenue near 32nd Street. Collins was walking along 9th Avenue near 32nd Street when he was hit by a northbound vehicle. The Bessemer man was taken to the University of Alabama Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim
