Robert McCarthy Killed In Westbury, NY Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on October 27 in Westbury, New York. Robert F. McCarthy was tragically struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver. McCarthy was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a Chrysler Sebring driven by 41-year-old Wilfredo Blanco Molina on Old Country Road near the intersection of State Street. Sadly, McCarthy was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said that Molina fled the scene after the accident but was later apprehended. Molina was charged with vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an incident, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and driving while intoxicated.
